Daramfon Morgan is a Nigerian Canadian visual artist and the founder of DCM Art Creations, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Drawing from his Ibibio heritage, Caribbean experiences, and life in Nova Scotia, he creates bold contemporary work that celebrates Black identity, cultural memory, belonging, and community. Working primarily through digital painting and public art, Daramfon’s practice brings African and diasporic stories into visible public spaces. His work has been featured through public art projects and exhibitions in Halifax, including murals and banner works that contribute to the visibility of African Nova Scotian and broader Black communities. Through DCM Art Creations, Daramfon seeks to create artwork that allows Black communities to see themselves honoured, celebrated, and reflected in the places they live.

We Wear Our Stories

We Wear Our Stories is a visual art exhibition that celebrates Black identity, African and diasporic heritage, cultural memory, and the stories carried through clothing, hair, adornment, colour, and self expression. Through vibrant portraits and contemporary visual storytelling, the exhibition centres Black figures with dignity, beauty, confidence, and presence. The work invites audiences to consider clothing and personal style not simply as decoration, but as living expressions of ancestry, resilience, celebration, community, and identity. We Wear Our Stories is a powerful exhibition where art and storytelling come together to show that identity is not only remembered or spoken about, but also worn, carried, expressed, and passed forward.
