Dedicated to showcasing films by artist of colour from Canada and around the world – Ottawa, September 16-20

A white author is summoned by a Lakota Elder who asks him to write a book about his perspective. After a blundering false start, he is all but kidnapped and sucked into a road trip through the heart of the contemporary Native American landscape.

After her father’s death, young adult Tyler runs away from her mom, finding escape in a new assumed identity: her dad, Octavio. As she explores this new character and her sexuality, she realizes you can’t truly run away from your problems.
