Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Hannah Zamora

Hannah Zamora is an arts professional and creative based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), in Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia).

Hannah holds a Master of Arts from Western University and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Thomas University, both in English Language and Literature. To this day, storytelling floats at the centre of Hannah’s work, interests, and passions.

Hannah’s experience ranges from event organization to archival work, from cemetery record digitization to tutoring, from farming to theatre-making. And now, as the Marketing and Communications Manager at Prismatic Arts Festival, Hannah is grateful to have the opportunity to work in support of storytelling in all its forms, from a wealth of perspectives, cultures, and experiences.

When she’s not at the office, Hannah can be found playing piano and singing to herself; working with an array of fibres to make tapestries, rugs, and clothes; gardening with her canine companion, Jo; and exploring the forests, coasts, and marshes of Mi’kma’ki with her friends and family.

Originally from an area west of Onguiaahra, now known as the Niagara Region of so-called-Ontario, the traditional home of the Attawandaron, the Haudenosaunee, and the Anishinaabe, Hannah grew up with an appreciation for the land – its beauty, its gifts, and its vulnerability to those who do not prioritize its protection. Having recently moved to Mi’kma’ki, Hannah strives to grow in her love, respect, and stewardship for the land on which she lives, works, and creates.
